Brooks Rolling
Owner & Builder
With over 20 years of experience in homebuilding, Brooks believes every project deserves a hands-on approach. He works closely with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure each home is built with the highest level of quality, value, and care.
Known for his integrity and attention to detail, Brooks is involved in every stage of the process—from first ideas to the final walkthrough. His goal is simple: to create homes that reflect each client’s vision while delivering craftsmanship that exceeds expectations.
As a proud member of the HBA, Brooks continues to bring both industry expertise and a personal touch to every home he builds.
Jill Rolling
Owner & Interior Designer
Jill brings creativity and vision to every project, ensuring each home is as functional as it is beautiful. With a passion for design and a keen eye for detail, she works closely with clients to select finishes, layouts, and features that reflect their unique style.
Her approach is collaborative and personal—helping homeowners feel confident and inspired throughout the design process. From big-picture concepts to the smallest details, Jill ensures every space feels timeless, welcoming, and true to the people who live there.
Dedicated to creating homes that balance comfort and elegance, Jill makes sure design is always at the heart of the Black Birch experience.
Susan Parrino
Office Manager & Accounting
Susan has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. She loves being behind the scenes making sure the building process is a smooth and enjoyable experience for buyers. Susan and Brooks have worked together since 2012 and she feels truly blessed to be with Black Birch Homes and Design. Originally from Illinois, Susan and her family moved to Iowa in 1997. She has two children and five grandchildren keeping her busy!
Kaleb Carstarphen
Field Superintendent
With 12 years of experience in residential construction, Kaleb serves as a Construction Superintendent at Black Birch Homes and Design. His extensive background in the industry equips him with the expertise to oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring that each home is built with quality and precision.
Kaleb holds a degree in Building Science, which enhances his understanding of construction principles and practices. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail makes him a valuable asset to the team.
